The Mining Industry Coordinating Council (MICC) has approved the adoption of the No-Go Zones map for mining during its 15th MICC meeting held on 8 January 2014. The No – Go Zone map was formulated to facilitate processing of Exploration Permits (EP) by the Department of Environment and Natural (DENR). As of 15 May 2014, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) has already accepted 136 mining applications.
